  • Criteria for proper fit includes:
    - Fit well and cover ALL the teeth
    - Resistant to tearing or shredding
    - Controlled thickness in key areas for maximum protection
    - Comfortable to wear and ability to breath
    - Able to speak with minimal interference
  • Mouth guards should be worn at ALL times while training, practicing and during competition.
  • It is recommended every athlete have a full dental exam at least once a year.
  • Mouth guard should be properly stored in a carry case.
  • Mouth guards should be kept clean of bacteria at all times utilizing proper mouth guard cleaning solutions, tooth paste, or alcohol free mouth wash.
  • Mouth guards should be kept out of direct sunlight and heat as it may alter the shape of the boil and mold fit.
  • When a mouth guard becomes ill-fitting, loose, constantly fall off the teeth it's time to replace with a new one.
